I think that a dream is the brain's way of releasing all those energies restrained and subdued during consciousness. I have this picture of the dream center being a jumbled mesh of yarn when we are awake and in dream state, it slowly unravels and rewinds itself into a spool to create a meaningful bundle. I love dreams!

That is a fascinating description, Ces. As for the energies, I have the very same believes. Thats why it is important to pay attention to dreams, especially the recurring ones, or those that are incredibly intense. Call me silly, but I think I´ve had good advice come through dreams. Once I even dreamed up the most perfect science fiction movie set which since then is stuck in my mind :) As for your picture I think that cries out for a painting!
