GREAT IDEA, BAD IMPLEMENTATION

On my first computer-free Sunday (my newest concept) I decided to clean up the house and organise my papers - so that in the end I managed to sit more than 5 hours in front of the computer to print labels for folders, to typewrite notes from various slips of paper that were lying around, to scan photos I had been wanting to scan forever (a huge stack), to write some formal letters and - since I was at it - to answer emails. Next Sunday I will have to leave the house!

Oh, yeah. I know that story. Everytime I'm away from my computer for more than a day, I'm like, "Wow, there's like totally a world out there!" It makes me realize that I should step away from the keyboard a lot more often than I do, but then I go right back to it. What's with us? Great drawing. I love your bug-eyed people and your sense of humor.

Roz, I think I know what I need: a summer cure! A little bright sky here and there, more temptations to get outside, away from the screen. Could it be you live in the same rainy latitude as I? Also, it´s a matter of habit (or availability). Last year I spent 3 months without a home connection to the internet and it took me several weeks to get accustomed to it. Plus I was suffering from a half-broken laptop that I only dared to switch on for a few minutes each day. In the end I enjoyed my spare time and got around reading more books and meeting people :)

But: whereelse am I allowed to create tiny worlds?

That's the only way I can do it....leave the house!
