STILL FISHING FOR ANSWERS

On the Superhero Journal Andrea posted about a game called Magpies that works as a sort of oracle. You have to meditate over an issue or question, open the dictionary and pick a random word. Pang! That´s your answer.

Naturally as Sane Sally is still looking for clues to her future, she grabbed her Spanish/German dictionary and answered the exact questions Andrea posted.

1) What are you good at?
2 )What kind of work would have you excited to get out of bed each morning?
3) What should you be aware of that you're not aware of?

=

1) Pick: -> revuelta (Spanish for rebellion)
2) Pick: -> balsa (Spanish for raft)
3) Pick: -> Reise (German for journey)

Make of it what you will, as Scarecrow says.
Or better: let me know what you make of it!

Non conforming, free-spirited artist on a journey that is gently carried by a smooth flowing river leading her to exactly where she needs to go and enjoy the sites along the way:)

You are on an unconventional journey is my quick interpretation. Keep fishing for answers!

I tried to think about the best answer to your question.. "what do you think?" So I consulted the oracle, the yellow pages and it said loud and clear: "PAWNBROKERS"

This is funny! well, these are the spanish-english words that I found:

1) Pick: duro = hard
2) Pick: bencina = petrol, gasoline
3) Pick: puntería = aim

really this make me think...

PD: I´m sorried, I don´t know German. Mal, muy mal :(

Wow, Scarecrow, a songwriter is born right on my comment pages! Is the ticket good for revolution as well?

Ha, Joy, it would be great if the river would know where I, eh Sally, had to go! Nonetheless I love that interpretation of course, as much as thinking of Sally as being on ...

...an unconventional journey as Modroom does, she may be trying on those stilettos!

Pawnbrokers, Princess Pepper Cloud, I think you are bringing it down to reality, for that journey of revolution you need some financing!

Lu, interesting words you got! Especially since you just wrote about the 600 Watt Turbo. And regarding the last one, could it be you are fishing for some answers, too? :)

I get 1=Neon 2=dishabille 3=outer clothes - very dubious! Maybe I should have meditated about the questions first.

CRISTOSOVA hat gesagt…

Aynaku, yes, please! It just needs to be within realms...

Johnnynorms, perhaps you should have not taken the Klingonian dictionary for this game! Or you could now meditate over the answers. I mean, what should you be aware of that you're not aware of and out comes "outer clothes"... ask your Mom about that ;)

I wrote a poem to go with my Angels and Devils but only after I posted...I now read to you, my Opera buddy:)

Of Angels and Devils
An Opera momento
Perfectly balanced
On so many levels
He sets the tone
She plays victim
So it would seem
With plots of twist
Its hard to tell
That what is real
Or which is Hell.

CRISTOSOVA hat gesagt…

Joy! That is so cool! Its actually what I thought. You may think he is the Devil and she an Angel, but after a closer examination and a few arias, it could also be the other way round, she the Seductress, he the Victim...
"Its hard to tell
That what is real
Or which is Hell."
Love that! Can be used as the perfect quote for many situations :)

I don't know about the fortelling the future but it's a easy way to make poetry.

This is fun and wonderful!

Scribblesk, interesting that you say that. I have this weird job where I am allowed to teach all sorts of things and I got asked if I could teach a poetry class and I thought a version of this play could make a good introductory game. (I bet you have some poems home :))

Alina, thank you!

Oh this is so exciting and interesting!! What do YOU make of it?
I could go all over the place with it...the raft signifies movement, you are or need to head into a direction for your lifes journey and stop rebelling against it....

See, so many things. This is awesome. I really want to hear your thoughts.

Andrea, I thought it was pretty exiting, too! My interpretation is that I need to move further towards the edges. Skip the convenient hold out and just float out of the middle all together. I see "rebellion" as a more radical approach to things, where you do not question if things are really possible, you go out and try and learn from that experience (experiment :)) .
Watch me move! ;)
